“Nature is an old lady with few friends these days, and those who wish to make use of her charms, she rewards passionately.” - From Tim Krabbe’s The Rider

We gladly greet the month of December today with a brisk morning spin. We wiggle our fingers like air-guitarists as we rest our hands on our handle bars, in an attempt to keep the blood flowing in our gloves. We replace our woolen and/or Belgian knee warmers with full-on thermal bibs, because let’s face it, we’re not Belgian. We also learn to accept wind as a training partner for the next few months, since it won’t be leaving us any time soon. We will continue to ride along, winter.
