01-28-12: RIVER ROAD, EARLY SATURDAY MORNING
As I headed home last night around 3 AM, filled with whiskey, beer, and doubt - I told Don that I would go on a ride if I magically woke up by 7 AM, as he was meeting up others by 8AM. Well .. I magically woke up.

As terrible as the waking up portion of the ride went, it was great to be able to make it back to Brooklyn by lunch time. I can’t say I felt great riding that early in the morning, especially with lack of rest, but it did feel good to be riding this morning. Here’s to the base miles ya’ll …

It’s December, and still in the 50’s. Took the day off to take advantage of the nicer weather while it still exists. River Road/Alpine Climb for the second time in a week. My body hates me, and it’s starting to get brisk. Here’s to a lazy weekend.

45 miles today. 470 vertical feet of climbing. Shut up, legs.
