TUESDAY OFF: PROSPECT PARK

With another supposed storm heading our way, Chip and I decided last minute that it would be a good idea to get a quick ride in before the streets became unridable again. I knew Don and Krys were off from work, so they were down to meet us up at Prospect Park.

With the whole NYPD Crackdown on cyclists in Manhattan and Brooklyn, we made sure to ride “safe” during our laps, as cop cars were all over the place.  The last thing I want to think about when riding my bike is getting a ticket for running a red light, in a park, with no vehicles present.

A few laps later, some toes and fingers began to get cold and we headed out.  I can’t wait until I move to Brooklyn in the spring so I can do my laps here instead of Central Park.  As fun as it is dodging tourists, yelling at salmon longboarders, and avoiding horse shit during your laps, I’m totally digging the quieter vibes of Prospect Park.  Til next time, BK.
