PRESENTATION RECAP
THANK YOU THANK YOU and THANK YOU to everyone who came out on Friday for my little presentation. I’m glad everyone enjoyed themselves and super stoked that no one fell asleep as I talked photos and bikes for about 45 minutes. With that said, get off the internet and enjoy what’s left of your Memorial Day weekend. Cheers!

MCNY Bicycles Online Gallery
@somebadideas shared a link (via #bikenyc) to the MCNY’s online gallery of cyclists in NYC in the early 1900’s. Pretty freaking awesome. Here’s a couple of my favorites. Click on any of the images to view the gallery via mcny.org

VIDEO: TAK PRESENTATION AT APPLE STORE SOHO Urban Cyclist Worldwide was awesome enough to have uploaded Tak’s entire presentation at the Apple Store SoHo from last week. Definitely worth checking out as Tak speaks about his life as a messenger/photographer in NYC, as well as finally revealing the answer to how long he’s been growing his hair! Great job Tak!

IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY: PT II
So my sister and I were chatting today and she mentions something about one of our other uncles in Italy posting his new bike on Facebook. Not knowing that he even had a Facebook, she shows me his uploaded collection. Check the photos out below. DAMN!
Now you see why I said DAMN? That’s four Colnagos in his stable, and he’s got a handful more of other awesome bikes as well....

#swag - Vans Pritchard Shoe Came across this short clip the other day. Nice dress shoes from Vans, yea? WRONG. These suckers are sneakers! Copped myself a pair a few months back for those days where you want to ride to work, dress up a tad, yet don’t want to bring a bag with an extra pair of shoes. #swag

[ TRVR ] TRVR Meets Pendleton The homie DK put together yet another great video, this time for Korean brand TRVR - highlighting their new collection of cycling caps using Pendleton wool. The hats look great and would be a perfect match to my Pendleton wallet ;-)

SUNDAY R&R
My body hated me after yesterday’s ride. I took it super super easy today and met up with some of Team Philippines the homies for some noms and lazy lurkage. Awesome weekend overall, but back to work manana. This summer’s going to be amazing.
Fresh watermelon juice via Brooklyn Flea was on point. My new non-alcoholic Sunday drink.
Had to take ‘em to Peter Pan.

RIDES: First 9W ride of 2011
Santiago hit me up on Saturday night telling me that he set up a ride with a handful of the PDL kids to ride 9W. One crash, two flats, and sixty plus miles later - we were back in Manhattan. Click below for more info and more photos.
10 people made it out for the ride, with a handful doing it for the first time.
About 15 miles in, your humble narrator hit a huge bump on the West Side...

SUNDAY SPIN: PROSPECT PARK
Today was probably the best I’ve felt for the past week, so I randomly decided to put the spandex and SIDIs on and head to Prospect Park. After three laps, I headed back to Greenpoint, and managed to catch an amazing Sunday Sunset at the East River Park on the way home. Sometimes solo steez is the way to go.

SUNNY SATURDAYS
Well it’s finally beginning to feel like summer here in New York, and it’s about damn time. I’ve been getting attacked by sinuses for the past week, and yesterday was the first day that I didn’t spend indoors for the most part. Ice cream sandwiches and waterfront views with some good people took up most of my afternoon. Click below to see more photos from the day.
